In the spotlight: thermochromic
Thermochromic ink changes colour as soon as the ideal drinking temperature is reached. The ink starts to change colour four degrees above the agreed switching temperature. Experts can detect colour appearing at different stages during the cooling process. The colour will be at its optimum appearance when the drinking temperature is reached.
It is possible to apply two thermochromic inks to your design. Each one can switch at a different temperature giving you the option to inform when the drink is cold as well as when it is ice cold. If you are interested in the thermochromic effect, please contact your local Ball sales team during design creation. Our professionals guide you through the process and are able to advise you with regards to project lead times & costs.
